Who found Amazon?
The owner of Amazon is Jeff Bezos. He was born on 12 July 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the United States. When Jeff Bezos was born, his mother was just 17 years old. His father Ted Jorgenson was a Salesman and his mother's name was Jacklyn Jorgenson. Later she changed her surname to Bezos after getting married to Miguel Bezos when Ted left Jeff and his mom alone and they were helpless. Jeff was just 3 years old that time. When even Jeff can;t walk, he used to take screwdrivers and try to open his flammable. It's really unbelievable. When Jeff grew up, his interest in electronics gadgets was too increasing. You won’t believe that to not let Jeff’s stepbrother enter his room without his permission he created an electric alarm and attached it to the door so that he could be alert when his brother entered in his room.
When Jeff was in 4th class, for the first time a mainframe computer was launched in his school. Even the teacher didn’t know the idea about using a computer. So Jeff along with his friends analyzed the manual and learned to use it. Respecting his same talent he was awarded with a silver knight. He also got a national merit scholarship. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science in 1986. After getting graduated, he got a good job in the field of computer science in New york. He was keenly interested in reading books and articles.
The success journey of Amazon
In April 1994, in the course of net surfing, he came to know that the number of web users was increasing by 2300% every year. When he knew that, he thought why not do online business. To make his dream come true, he left his good job. Somehow, it was a risky action because he was just married. He thought of an online business where he could sell his products. With a lot of thinking, he came with the idea to sell books. In 1994, he established his own online company but started in 1996. At first, Jeff wanted to name his company as Cadbara.com but after 3 months he changed into Amazon.com. He chose A as the first letter so that his site could rank well on the internet in alphabetical order. He chose his company name of the biggest river in the world i.e Amazon because he wanted to make the most popular, well-known, and biggest bookselling company online. His website was started as an online bookstore but later it began to sell many electrical items. He started his company in the garage of his house. He only had 3 computers with 3 employees at that time. The online shopping software was created by himself only. The very first investment was done by his parents with 3 lakhs dollar. His parents were supporting him a lot and they trusted him. Being a supporter by 6% of share, his parents also became billionaires in 2000. From 16 July, 1995 Jeff started selling books through his website. At the very first month, Amazon was able to sell its books in 50 states of America along with 45 other countries. But it wasn't as easy as you think. He has to pack the books and deliver to demanded places. Since these things trouble him a lot, he asked his friends the ideas to get rid of this trouble. But no one helped him. Later he bought a table where he can pack the books easily. After all, the hard work of Jeff took him to great success. Till September, He was able to sell books for a 20,000 dollar price. In 2007, Amazon became the well known reputed company. But the turning point of amazon came when it started selling amazon kindle where we can download books and read. He was similar to mobile but we can only read books on that device. In november 2007, kindle was launched and in the 6 hours of its launch, it was out of stock. It was out of stock for 5 months. Eventually, amazon was making its place in the world. And it finally became the most wanted shopping website and Jeff Bezos as the richest person in the world. Now Amazon sells almost all products and it has unique gadgets too.
